Throughout the world, Closed Circuit Television surveillance and observation are now a way of life for many people, whether the systems are at the work place, on motorways, churches, in shopping centres, banks or at sports venues. Evidence produced by CCTV systems of incidents is being accepted in law courts in many countries. With this expanse in the use of CCTV, the quality of information provided by CCTV is critical.
BjFire Systems Ltd has been designing and installing Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Systems for nearly eight years and therefore possess extensive experience and technical expertise in the selection and application of available equipment.
Our design is a modular CCTV system which takes utmost advantage of recent advancements in camera resolution, central monitoring, touch screen control and other recent technologies in professional surveillance developed by ACTi, Axis, AVTech., Bosch, Pelco, and Philips CSS etc. These manufacturers have an established reputation for high products amongst corporate CCTV users in the world.
General Overview
BjFire Systems Ltd is proposing an ACti CCTV camera system. This CCTV system will be based on the use of a combination of high resolution cameras with true day and night functional capacity ensuring the provision of 24 hour security surveillance. The CCTV system will be an IP based system, utilizing IP cameras and network Server which will eliminate the need for multiple fiber cable runs. The use of varying cameras include high speed PTZ cameras which have the capacity to handle360° Pan, 180° tilt and up to 18x optical zoom functions in weather-resistant housings.
Recording will be stored on the Server on which the video management software resides. The Server, will be suitable to handle recordings of data for a minimum of 60 days of continuous recording.
Monitoring will be done via the use LCD monitors screens connected to client workstations which in turn are networked to the Server. The CCTV solution to be implemented is a total IP base solution is such that can be integrated into the school Local Area Network (LAN) for easy viewing from local PCs that will have the client software installed and remote viewing over the internet using internet explorer.

- Design an event monitoring system flexible, easy to operate and absolutely solving the security challenges of our client.
- Ensure that the Surveillance system has facility for user control of real-time features on multiplexed recording playback, fast picture update.

Design Overview
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Project Description:
The CCTV system will be based on the installation of varying specifications of high resolution day and night cameras in weather resistant housing, some of which will come with digital Pan Tilt & Zoom functions to ensure a high degree of security surveillance. To enhance the usefulness and viability of the system, reduce the complication of installation, while also reducing costs without reducing quality, the CCTV system takes into consideration the use of high altitude levels in the premises.
The use of these high levels mean that more can be seen with less cameras, and this will not only negate the need to run extremely long lengths of cables which may then suffer the risk of damage, sabotage or reduced picture quality, but more importantly save costs with respect to cables and their laying.
The flexibility of the surveillance data is also greatly increased as the cameras can and will allow surveillance operators to determine what they see, when they see it and to what level of accuracy they see.
Cameras
Colour digital wide view cameras for indoor and outdoor applications The wide view cameras are able to cover up to 30-50m away at about right angle which is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
Mounting
All cameras will be mounted on fixed brackets with their respective camera housing, indoor cameras are ceiling/wall mounted.
Monitors
These are colour monitors hence consistent with the camera used. Monitoring is achieved via a high performance colour monitor. The proposed monitor offers a high quality video output.
Control Centre
The control centre is the heart of the system as it houses the Multiplexer, the Video Recorder and other ancillaries of the system. Control of all equipment is from this centre and an overview of the entire facility can be seen from there.
Recording
All images are continuously recorded so that events can be reviewed if the need arises. Recording will be achieved by Multiplexers and Video recorders which records images of relevant events and store them on the Video tape in the recorder. This makes recorded images much easier to manage.
